The Long Table Project grew out of two ideas. The first was to a create a band where I played baritone sax and Phillip Greenlief played alto sax. It would also include electric guitar, electric bass, and drums and the musicians needed to handle open improvisation, improv structures, and get into deep grooves. John Hanes - drums , Dan Seamans -electric bass, and John Shiurba – electric guitar did much more than fulfilled those requirements and added their wonderfully distinct voices to the mix.
